KEEP TAHOE CURIOUS
Our mission is to inspire our community to create a better future.

Tahoe, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, is more than just a travel destination—it’s a delicate ecosystem that requires our collective stewardship. At the Museum of Tahoe, we believe that deepening our connection with the lake and its surroundings is key to preserving its fragile balance.
We aim to provide the community with meaningful opportunities to explore Tahoe’s rich history, engage with fine arts, and amplify diverse voices on critical issues. By collaborating with artists, researchers, institutions, and the public, we create a dynamic platform for storytelling, education, and dialogue.
Recognizing the challenges traditional museums face in attracting visitors, we embrace innovative, accessible approaches. From virtual exhibitions and creative pop-up displays to our Mobile Mini Museum on wheels, we are redefining how museums connect with audiences—bringing culture, history, and science directly to the community.
