The Museum of Tahoe is developing a virtual gallery—a place to explore art, creative ideas, and stories in new ways. Free from the constraints of a physical gallery, it opens the door to new kinds of exhibitions and experiences.
Explore from your computer, phone, or virtual reality headset—wherever you are.
The gallery is named for the original guide book to Lake Tahoe titled "Lake of the Sky" by George Wharton James first printed in 1915.
"One often experiences, on looking down upon [Lake Tahoe] from one of its many surrounding mountains, a feeling of surprise, as if the sky and earth had somehow been reversed and he was looking down upon the sky instead of the earth."
